A group of aviation-passionate women and men in Northern Virginia came together to form a local WAI chapter, establishing a community hub for regional aviators.
The chapter hosted its inaugural Girls in Aviation Day, inspiring dozens of young women to consider careers in flight.
In partnership with Texas Woman's University, the chapter helped bring the WASP gravesite database online with Google Maps integration — honoring the Women Airforce Service Pilots.
To better serve members, the chapter expanded its digital presence — keeping the community connected with events, news, and each other year-round.
