Inspiring the next generation of female aviators through hands-on experiences, mentorship, and the powerful stories of women who fly.
Girls in Aviation Day (GIAD) is an annual international event organized by Women In Aviation International chapters around the world. Held in the fall, the event is designed to inspire girls ages 8–17 to explore careers in aviation and aerospace.
At the WAI Capital Region Chapter's GIAD, young participants get rare, up-close access to aircraft, simulators, and the amazing women and men who work in aviation every day.
The event is free for participants — made possible by the generous donations of supporters like you and the dedication of our volunteers.
